Innegrity
Innegrity is marketing a high modulus thermoplastic fiber to enhance fiberglass and carbon in performance composite applications. They focus on providing solutions to major problems in the form of a fiber. We call this “Linear Solutions to Global Problems.” While they do not create world peace or solve the world’s energy crisis, they do hope that by working closely with their customers and partners, they can make a valuable contribution. Innegra™ S does just that by providing economical ballistic protection as well as allowing weight reduction in boats, cars and trains, which ultimately reduces their fuel consumption.
Innegrity was formed in May, 2004 in Greenville, SC. Their first two years were spent developing the Innegra S product, filing patents, and forging key relationships with fabric formation and end-user products. In 2006 they began construction of their first pilot production plant which began operating in 2007. They passed 20 employees in 2007. The Innegra™ S product was officially launched in the Fall of 2007 at the ACMA and IBEX shows. Innegrity joined with Reimotec in Germany to form Innegrity Europe GmbH, which began manufacturing fiber in April, 2008. They are currently focused on building the availability of their fiber and developing high performance applications in the ballistics, transportation and sporting goods markets.
