Maverick Corporation is a leader in the research, development, and production, of advanced materials for the aerospace and related industries. Maverick’s product portfolio includes polymides capable of withstanding environments over 700°F, and a family of affordable, non-toxic resins for vaRTM, RTM, autoclave and compression molding of components that operate from 400°F to greater than 600°F.

Reactors and Mixers: 0.5 to 5.0 gallon glass lab reactors, 30 and 200 gallon glass-lined steel Pfaudler reactors, and other resin mixers give the company the current capacity to produce at least 2000 pound batches. All reactors and mixers are equipped with stirring motors, condensers, heating and cooling sources, digital temperature controllers, and inert gas supplies.
Laboratory and Testing Capabilities: A 2000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art laboratory was commissioned in 2001. Analytical and quality control testing capabilities include HPLC, GC, TMA, DSC, TGA, Viscosity, Density, and Solids Content. In addition, the company has ready access to XPS, EDAX, FTIR, SSIMS, SEM and AFM equipment. Mechanical testing is typically conducted locally at Cincinnati Testing Laboratories.
Process Equipment: The company owns two 75-ton, 1000°F Hackett-Pacific Presses with 2’x2’ platens, a 100-ton, 1000°F Accudyne Presse with 2’x2’ platens and a 75-ton, 800°F (427°C) Wabash Press with 2’x2’ platens. In addition the company has a Thermal Equipment autoclave with an operating pressure of 250 psi, temperature capability of 650°F (343°C), and a working area of three feet in diameter and length.
Support Equipment: Other equipment includes digital bench and floor scales and ovens for drying, curing, post-cures, and weight loss studies.
