Pyromeral Systems

Pyromeral Systems specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of high temperature composites using proprietary inorganic polymers and glass-ceramic matrix systems. These new non-metallic materials specifically provide a lightweight alternative to metals in applications requiring long-term resistance to temperatures up to 1500°F, or short-term/intermittent resistance to temperatures above 2000°F. A distinctive feature of our materials is their ability to be cured at low temperatures (less than 300°F) with conventional CFRP processes, resulting in lower design, tooling and manufacturing costs for high temperature composites.

Current commercial uses include heat shields and exhaust systems for motorsports and automotive applications, as well as composite parts for industrial processes involving high temperatures. Our composites are routinely used at temperatures above 1000°F in these applications.

Developments in the field of aerospace and defense include replacement of titanium, steel or inconel for the production of lightweight exhaust ducts, heat shields and fire barriers for manned and unmanned aircrafts, thermal protection systems and heat-resistant composite parts for missiles and their environment.

Pyromeral Systems is also conducting research in the field of tooling materials capable of working at temperatures up to 750°F, for the processing of composites with polymeric matrices cured at high temperatures. With a pilot plant located in Dallas, TX and the support of our parent company located near Paris, France, we offer the following technologies and services:
